Clippers' Leonard out for Game 6 as Mavericks tie series

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will not play in Game 6 of their first-round NBA playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks, the team announced Tuesday. Leonard suffered a right knee sprain in Game 4 and has been ruled out for the rest of the series.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks to a 123-93 victory in Game 5 on Tuesday night, tying the series at 3-2. Doncic scored 35 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out six assists. Kristaps Porzingis added 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Mavericks.

The Clippers were led by Paul George, who scored 29 points. Reggie Jackson added 21 points and Nicolas Batum scored 19 points.

The Mavericks have historically been strong in Game 5 of a 2-2 series, winning 82.5% of their games. The Clippers, on the other hand, have a 50% winning percentage in Game 5 of a 2-2 series.

Game 6 of the series will be played on Thursday night in Los Angeles.
