Sudden Death of Former Ivory Coast International

Sol Bamba, a former Ivory Coast international and Palermo defender, has passed away at the age of 39.

The cause of death has not yet been released, but it is believed that Bamba had been suffering from cancer for some time.

Bamba began his career with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to England in 2006 to join Leicester City. He also played for Cardiff City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, and Trabzonspor before joining Palermo in 2018.

Bamba made 10 appearances for the Ivory Coast, including at the 2014 World Cup.

He will be remembered as a talented defender and a great servant to the game of football.
